Week 2 of the LTHL was a wide-open affair. With top player Rob Chargo not present, it was a battle of attrition as the top five finishers all took turns taking each other out. In the end, Jeff Thill emerged on top, going 15-3-3. His only losses came to Jeff Farwell, Eric Krol and John Medema. Taking second was Jim Rzonca, who lost three to Jeff Thill but otherwise was very sharp and forceful as always. Farwell took third, edging Krol out by a point as the two players tied in all three of their meetings. Krol won the tiebreaker over Medema, who scored some big wins himself, by taking all three of their meetings. Joe Salazar made his LTHL debut this season, returning to the Stiga after not playing since the U.S. Open last July. He started off 3-0 before coming back down to Earth. The Detroit Table Hockey League's Tim Walker was unable to make it as advertised, but that was offset by the welcome appearance of Ventura Sias, who only got a Stiga game last month after growing up playing TH games with flat players. Ventura brought his nice family with him and played hard the entire time. He got a tie against LTHL veteran Rich Thill to notch a point. Next up is Las Vegas, as Jim Rzonca and John Medema and others head west to play in the Let's Play Hockey championships at the end of the month.
