Joe Salazar took on Jeff Thill in the quarters.
(4) Jeff Thill vs. (5) Joe Salazar
THILL 2 4 3 2 SALAZAR 1 3 2 1
Notes: Games 1, 4 were OT. In Game 1, Thill scored about 20 seconds into OT with a RW sniper shot. In Game 4, he scored about 30 seconds into OT with a RW-C combo, I believe.
Thill wins series 4-0.

Jim Rzonca and Jeff Thill went the distance in the semis.
(1) Jim Rzonca vs. (4) Jeff Thill
RZONCA 6 3 4 3 2 4 1 THILL 5 4 3 6 5 3 3
Notes: Game 2 was OT. In Game 2, Rzonca put one in on himself to give Thill the win. In Game 3, Rzonca hit two LW-C combos down low, patterned after Pontus Eriksson when the game was knotted at 1.
Thill wins series 4-3. (2) Eric Krol vs. (3) John Medema
KROL 0 1 1 3 2 MEDEMA 3 2 4 2 3
Notes: Game 2 was OT. Medema connected on a LW-C play about 30 seconds into OT. Krol was down 2-0 and came back to win Game 4. He was down again 2-0 in Game 5, tied up, but Medema scored with about 30 seconds left on a quick reaction scrum at center ice.
Medema wins series 4-1.Finals

With the hardware on the line, it was a Medema-Thill finals.
(3) John Medema vs. (4) Jeff Thill
THILL 6 1 6 6 MEDEMA 1 0 1 1
Notes: Jeff Thill was on fire all night, but especially in the finals, hitting crisp LW-C shots nearly as fast as Bruce Turner and RW-C combos coming back up the slot a la Bernie Kunzler. A dominating performance all evening from a guy whose first love is Coleco.
Thill wins series 4-0 and is the 2008 Summer LTHL champ.
