It was the final league tune-up before the Stiga US Open on July 5 as
the LTHL marked Week 3 of the six-week summer season. There were 12
players in the house and a good vibe at Vito and Nick's Pizzeria in
Lemont. Rob Chargo made his return and stepped up in grand fashion as
no one beat him all night. Only Jeff Thill and Eric Krol managed a tie
off Chargo, who only gave up 7 goals in the first round robin of 11
games. Chargo took first, followed by Jim Rzonca, who went 7-4 the
first round but 9-2 the second round to edge out Krol by one point.
Fourth went to John Medema and fifth to Jeff Thill. Continuing to show
improvement despite a bum foot that'll require surgery was Eric Davis.
Roger Carlson was able to join us with no softball this holiday weekend
and scored 7 wins. We hope you all join us for big US Open tournament
on Saturday July 26 at the Lithuanian World Center in Lemont. There's a
Coleco tournament on Friday, July 25 too. It starts at 5 p.m.
