The third week of the LTHL summer season featured 11 players gathered
at the Quarry Inn in downtown Lemont on Saturday night, Sept. 3, 2005.
Mike "Big Daddy" DiGangi, a CTHL legend and cup winner, returned for
some more Stiga action after a lifetime spent kicking butt on Coleco.
And Gerald Pytlewski continued his recovery by playing the first of two
round robins on the night. Another legend, Ron Marsik, made his summer
debut and took first place on the evening. He won 16 and tied one, with
his only two losses coming to John Medema in the first round and Eric
Krol in the second. Jeff Farwell continued his series of strong
performances in taking third and for most of the evening only had one
loss. Jim Rzonca came on strong in the second round, going 7-2 to take
second. Krol's 7-1-1 second round performance landed him in a tie with
Jeff Thill for fourth. A one-game playoff for fourth saw Thill jump out
to a 3-0 lead. Krol notched two in a comeback attempt that fell short.
We play again in two weeks on Sept. 17.
