Garry Butler surprised everyone by returning for Week 9 of the LTHL.
And he was on fire early on, only losing one of his first half-dozen or
so games. The important thing, though, was seeing Garry, a few days
removed from his second chemo treatment, back playing table hockey. Six
of the seven guys who went to Boston to play in the F1 tournament were
on hand. Rob Chargo won another night, going 16-1-3 in the two round
robins. Ron Marsik was second and Jeff Thill third as places three
through six were decided by two points. Other notes: Joe Salazar had
just four wins, but two of them were against top player Jim Rzonca.
Eric Krol defeated legend Marsik in both games. Marsik and Chargo
played to a 0-0 tie, a rarity in league play. They tied their other
game as well.
Three Stars of the night
1. Garry Butler...Da Bomber back on the board.
2. Rob Chargo...only one loss on the night.
3. Jeff Farwell...for doing the right thing.
