Venue availability issues pushed back the LTHL to a rare Sunday night and numbers were down as a result. Five players showed and everyone played each other five times. Coming out on top was Jim Rzonca, who played faster and shot harder than usual. A lot of 'em went in. He went 3-0-2 against second-place finisher Eric Krol and that was the difference. Taking third was John Medema, who's starting a new Munro league next month and fourth was Joe Salazar, who had a late surge to nearly catch him. All have qualified for the playoffs. Joe Rozanski came down from the city's North Side after watching the Blackhawks home matinee. He lost a couple one-goal games to Salazar in the early going. The experience should help him during the U.S. Open.
