Fundraiser for Garry's Family Saturday, July 29, 2006
Our friend Garry Butler, 48, lost his battle with kidney cancer on October 28, 2005 a
few minutes after midnight with his family at his bedside. He leaves behind his wife, Candy,
daughter Brittany (15) and son Brett (12).
To help Garry’s family as they face their future without him, they need to know they are
not forgotten. Family and friends of Garry’s will come together on July 29, 2006 for an
fund-raising event and we need your help.
Garry was an enthusiastic table hockey player and a founding member of the
Lemont Table Hockey League (LTHL). Past participants
at the LTHL Stiga U.S. Open remember Garry’s welcoming smile and warm handshake as he welcomed
them to the event he helped found. This year, the LTHL is helping in the
efforts to raise money for the Butler Children Educational Trust. In conjunction with the tournament,
we will be hosting a fund-raising event for Garry’s family. This is where you come in.
Please save the date on your calendars. We will have a silent auction, food, drinks, and raffles
throughout the day and evening. More information will follow as this event nears.
Inquiries about the tournament may be directed to Jim Rzonca at
